day 35 ( day 20 ) post efudix

today is 5 weeks when i started applying efudix and 3 weeks since i stopped using efudix and basically my skin feels back to normal. apart from the obvious pinkness my skin feels nice and smooth and all the skin cancer seems to have been removed. i have been asked by work colleges would i put myself through this experience again i replied no i wouldn't because I've been there. my honest advise to anyone contemplating doing this treatment is do your whole face in one hit and get it over as soon as possible and make sure you spread the cream evenly over your whole face to make sure you never have to go through this experience again. i think if i chose only to do my forehead first then my face i wouldn't completed this process.

I have stopped using dermaid and only using cetaphil cream the dermaid was for the itchiness and the cetaphil is a moisturiser

day 33 ( day 18 ) post efudix

today i feel like this process is finally coming to a end. i still have burns around my eyes but the rest of my skin is pink. i find if i get a little sun on my face it reacts straight away with pins and needles feeling so i will have to be very careful in the next few weeks.

my skin is slowly returning to normal, it continues to flake and still is itchy but by this time you are very adjusted to itchiness so it doesn't really bother you.

face is still healing as you can see where i have been shaving seems to have healed quicker than other parts of my face.this could be from the scraping action on the flaking skin or maybe the skin is tougher where you have hair follicles.

as you can see my skin is slowly healing day by day,its a bit like watching grass grow i suppose,but its hard not to look when your applying cream 4 to 5 times daily and also conscious of people starring at you probably thinking you have got severe sunburn.

day 28 (day 14) post efudix

today is 14 days after stopping efudix treatment. recovery is a lot slower than i anticipated but i can see alot of improvement. since i stopped using the efdix cream i have been applying dermaid 1% cream this cream soothes the itchiness after you have washed your face. then once that has dried i then apply cetaphil moisturising cream. this cream just keeps your skin from drying out and cracking resulting in bleeding. i apply cetaphil about 4 to 5 times daily.

face is still peeling and itchy,its just a waiting game now for the healing process. I've been doing everything i can to speed up recovery ie drinking plenty of water, no alcohol or caffeine. only eating fruits and veges for antioxidants.

skin is peeling and itchy it is slowly healing.

face still red and peeling, after shower very itchy and stingy it has now been 10 days since i stopped using efudix.

day 23 (day 9) post efudix

today is 9 days after stopping efudix treatment, my face has become very itchy but i think the burning phase has stopped. the redness looks as though it is receding from the sides of my face.

it has been 1 week now since i stopped using efudix, i noticed this morning my bottom lip very bloody and sore. also my face is beginning to flake and is extremely itchy. hope this is coming to a end soon as it has been 3 weeks today i started efudix treatment.

day 20 (day 6) efudix

day 20 and 6 days after efudix stopped. face still burning and still painful. having trouble sleeping keep waking up every hour during the night. this has been going on for about 6 nights now.

day 19 (day5) efudix

day 19 no change yet still burning and plenty of pain after washing face. cream applies dulls the pain for now.

day 18 (day 4) post efudix

day 18 and the efudix is still burning. the worst is trying to wash your face. it feels like glass splinters in your face. but things now only can get better and i noticed my skin is feeling alot smoother and i appear to have lost all my wrinkles also. i suppose this must be a bonus for all the pain i have been through.

day 17 (day 3) post efudix

3 days after stopping efudix, using moisturiser about 6 times a Day seems to keep the pain down to just a annoying stinging. when i shower and wash my face it stings a bit like glass splinters in your skin.quite painful but when you dry your face off you get a sudden rush of intense pain until you apply the dermaid which stops the pain within minutes.hopefully this wont go on for to many more days.
